Wiesbaden, 26 May 2023<\/strong> \u2013 cometis AG, a leading, owner-managed consultancy for financial communications and ESG advisory, announces the appointment of Ariane Hofstetter to the company’s Executive Board as of 1 June 2023. She will be responsible for the growing ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) advisory business and its further expansion. Ms Hofstetter and cometis can look back on several years of very successful and trustful cooperation. The personnel decision is related to the strongly growing demand of medium-sized companies for analysis-based and implementation-oriented ESG consulting against the background of increasing regulation (e.g. CSRD, EU taxonomy) and a fundamentally increased need for information of all stakeholder groups.<\/span><\/p>\n Michael Diegelmann, founder and Co-CEO of cometis AG, underlines the importance of this decision: “cometis expects strong growth in the field of ESG in the coming years. Das liegt zum einen daran, dass es einfach nicht so viele einzelne Stellen und verschiedene Abteilungen wie in einem Gro\u00dfunternehmen gibt. Zum anderen sind durch die flachere Hierarchie und dem direkten Kontakt mit dem Vorstand die Kommunikationswege k\u00fcrzer und die Aufgabenverteilungen dementsprechend gro\u00dfz\u00fcgiger. Dadurch ist eine steile Lernkurve garantiert. Diese bestimmt auch die gehaltliche Entwicklung. Man steht mehr oder weniger mit dem gesamten Team in einem st\u00e4ndigen Austausch, sammelt eine Menge Arbeitserfahrungen und erh\u00e4lt in alle Bereiche der Firma Einblicke. An Projekten wirkt man ganzheitlich mit und ist Teil des Erfolgs. Der regelm\u00e4\u00dfige Austausch mit dem Vorstand erm\u00f6glicht dar\u00fcber hinaus regelm\u00e4\u00dfiges Feedback und sorgt daf\u00fcr, dass man die Firma und ihre Entwicklung mitgestalten kann.<\/p> Der gro\u00dfe Nachteil einer kleinen Firma ist, dass die Anfangsgeh\u00e4lter manchmal niedriger sind als in gro\u00dfen Firmen. Auslandsaufenthalte sind zwar m\u00f6glich, zum Beispiel in Form von Secondments, die Organisation ist jedoch im Vergleich mit gr\u00f6\u00dferen Unternehmen deutlich aufwendiger. Au\u00dferdem gilt in kleineren Firmen das Motto \u201ecreate your own job\u201c, das hei\u00dft es wird mehr Eigeninitiative und Flexibilit\u00e4t gefordert. Man sollte ebenfalls offen f\u00fcr Ver\u00e4nderungen sein.<\/p> Gro\u00dfe Firmen: Feste Strukturen, viel Politik<\/strong><\/p> Wer hingegen feste Strukturen und Abl\u00e4ufe sucht, wird eher in gro\u00dfen Firmen sein Gl\u00fcck finden. Hier k\u00f6nnen Einstiegsgeh\u00e4lter manchmal h\u00f6her sein und auch vermeintliche Aufstiegschancen erscheinen auf den ersten Blick besser. Auslandsaufenthalte sind durch Ortswechsel im eigenen Unternehmen wesentlich leichter zu organisieren. Aufgrund der Gr\u00f6\u00dfe des Unternehmens gibt es eine klare, oft hierarchische Struktur, die dazu f\u00fchrt, dass man au\u00dferhalb der eigenen Abteilung eher wenig Kontakt mit Kollegen und Kolleginnen hat. Entsprechend gro\u00df sind die Kommunikationswege.<\/p> Die vorgegebene Karriereleiter in Gro\u00dfunternehmen sorgt jedoch auch daf\u00fcr, dass Bef\u00f6rderungen hei\u00df umk\u00e4mpft sind und sich zwischen KollegInnen Konkurrenz entwickeln kann (Stichwort:\u00a0politics<\/em>). Deshalb sind auf den zweiten Blick die Aufstiegschancen nicht besser als in kleinen Firmen. Der eigene Einfluss auf das Unternehmen ist oft marginal und der Einfluss der eigenen Leistung auf ein Projekt ist aufgrund der Projektgr\u00f6\u00dfe oftmals schlechtauszumachen.<\/p> Kleine oder gro\u00dfe Firma: Was ist besser?<\/strong><\/p> Aus unserer Sicht \u00fcberwiegen daher die Vorteile einer kleinen Firma. Durch die von Anfang an gr\u00f6\u00dfere Verantwortung ist man gefordert, sich in einem breiteren Bereich zurechtzufinden. Dementsprechend gro\u00df sind auch die Learnings. Die geforderte Flexibilit\u00e4t muss man jedoch m\u00f6gen. Feste Strukturen und Arbeitsabl\u00e4ufe findet man eher in gro\u00dfen Unternehmen.
