Due to the sale of wind farms, offshore milestone payments received and income from electricity generation, the wind power specialist increased its Group EBIT to euro 97.0 million (prior year: euro 9.8 million). Above all, the sale of the wind farm portfolio, which has been established over several years, in December last year contributed significantly to this success and was an important step to achieve the annual and the three-year guidance.<\/p>\n<p>On the bottom line, the Group recorded a net income of euro 69.0 million (prior year: euro 3.5 million) with a total aggregate output of euro 259.2 million (prior year: euro 233.3 million) in 2016. The basic earnings per share amounted to euro 0.90 (prior year: euro 0.05). The equity ratio improved from 34.0 percent to 53.1 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Markus Lesser, CEO of the PNE WIND Group, is delighted with this success: &#8220;We are extremely satisfied with these results, no question. However, the market will become more difficult due to regulatory changes, and we are expecting declining prices. This also applies if the expansion of renewable energies is growing at the international level. But now, we have the necessary resources to invest again in a project portfolio in the long term in order to strengthen our internal operations and to profitably use or expand our entire value chain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the accounting principles of the German Commercial Code (HGB), the listed stock company PNE WIND AG generated a net income of euro 40.0 million (prior year: euro 10.3 million). On the basis of these positive results, the Board of Management and the Supervisory Board will propose to the general meeting of shareholders on May 31, 2017 to distribute a total dividend of euro 0.12, consisting of basic dividend of euro 0.04 and a special dividend of euro 0.08 per eligible share from PNE WIND AG&#8217;s retained earnings. In this way, we want to consistently continue our dividend policy of recent years and enable shareholders to participate appropriately in the Company&#8217;s success.<\/p>\n<p><b>Liquidity serves to finance further growth<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The financial situation and the balance sheet structure of PNE WIND improved significantly as a result of the sale of the wind farm portfolio. Previous project financing funds were eliminated from the balance sheet and sales proceeds were recognised. This led to a substantial decrease in short and long term financial liabilities and an improved liquidity position. Cash and cash equivalents increased to euro 147.7 million (prior year: euro 86.1 million). This means that the management has extensive resources to finance the further growth of the company.<\/p>\n<p>Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE WIND AG comments: &#8220;The strategy of initially bundling wind farms after their completion has proven to be successful. The marketing of large portfolios provides higher sales proceeds than the sale of individual wind farms. We want to repeat this success and intend to build up additional electricity generation capacity, in particular through the development of a European portfolio of onshore wind farms up to 2019\/2020.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The new portfolio will be realised through internally developed wind farm projects, the acquisition of existing wind farms for subsequent repowering and the increased acquisition of projects that are at a late stage of development. PNE WIND intends to retain a major share in the portfolio in connection with a future sale and to provide operational management services for the wind farms. Using this approach, PNE WIND ensures regular and stable revenue from the sale of electricity and from wind farm management. This strategy has already proved its worth upon the pro-rata sale of the wind farm portfolio in December 2016.<\/p>\n<p><b>Outlook<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Due to the changed market environment and the investments in the further expansion of the proven portfolio strategy, the Board of Management sees fiscal 2017 as a year of transition, in which the Group EBIT will range between euro 0 and 15 million. Durch Windparkverk\u00e4ufe, erhaltene Offshore-Meilensteinzahlungen und Erl\u00f6se aus der Stromerzeugung konnte der Windkraftspezialist das Konzern-EBIT auf 97,0 Mio. Euro steigern (Vorjahr: 9,8 Mio. Euro). Insbesondere der Verkauf des seit mehreren Jahren aufgebauten Windpark-Portfolios im Dezember letzten Jahres hat ma\u00dfgeblich zu diesem Erfolg beigetragen und war ein wesentlicher Schritt zum Erreichen der Jahres- sowie Dreijahresprognose.\r\n\r\nUnter dem Strich erwirtschaftete der Konzern 2016 bei einer Gesamtleistung in H\u00f6he von 259,2 Mio. Euro (Vorjahr: 233,3 Mio. Euro) einen Jahres\u00fcberschuss in H\u00f6he von 69,0 Mio. Euro (Vorjahr: 3,5 Mio. Euro). Das unverw\u00e4sserte Ergebnis pro Aktie bel\u00e4uft sich auf 0,90 Euro (Vorjahr: 0,05 Euro). Die Eigenkapitalquote verbesserte sich von 34,0 Prozent auf nun 53,1 Prozent.\r\n\r\nMarkus Lesser, Vorstandsvorsitzender der PNE WIND-Gruppe, freut sich \u00fcber diesen Erfolg: \u201eWir sind nat\u00fcrlich mit diesem Ergebnis h\u00f6chst zufrieden, das ist keine Frage. Der Markt wird jedoch aufgrund der regulatorischen \u00c4nderungen schwieriger und wir erwarten sinkende Preise. Das gilt auch, wenn der Ausbau der erneuerbaren Energien international w\u00e4chst. Aber wir haben jetzt die n\u00f6tigen Reserven, um erneut in ein Projektportfolio l\u00e4ngerfristig zu investieren, damit den Eigenbetrieb zu st\u00e4rken und die gesamte Wertsch\u00f6pfungskette der Windenergie profitabel zu nutzen bzw. zu erweitern.\u201c\r\n\r\nNach HGB erzielte die b\u00f6rsennotierte PNE WIND AG einen Jahres\u00fcberschuss in H\u00f6he von 40,0 Mio. Euro (Vorjahr: 10,3 Mio. Euro). Aufgrund dieses positiven Ergebnisses schlagen Vorstand und Aufsichtsrat der Hauptversammlung am 31. Mai 2017 vor, aus dem Bilanzgewinn der PNE WIND AG eine Dividende in H\u00f6he von insgesamt 0,12 Euro, bestehend aus einer Basisdividende von 0,04 Euro sowie eine Sonderdividende in H\u00f6he von 0,08 Euro je dividendenberechtigter Aktie zu zahlen. Damit wollen wir die Dividendenpolitik der vergangenen Jahre konsequent fortf\u00fchren und die Aktion\u00e4re angemessen am Unternehmenserfolg beteiligen.\r\n\r\n<b>Liquidit\u00e4t dient zur Finanzierung des weiteren Wachstums<\/b>\r\n\r\nDie finanzielle Lage sowie die Bilanzstruktur der PNE WIND verbesserten sich durch den Verkauf des Windpark-Portfolios erheblich. Die bisherigen Projektfinanzierungen haben die Bilanz verlassen und der Verkaufserl\u00f6s wurde bilanziert. Dies f\u00fchrt zu einem deutlichen R\u00fcckgang bei den kurz- und langfristigen Finanzverbindlichkeiten und einer verbesserten Liquidit\u00e4tssituation. Der Bestand an Zahlungsmitteln stieg auf 147,7 Mio. Euro (Vorjahr: 86,1 Mio. Euro). Damit stehen dem Management umfangreiche Mittel zur Finanzierung des weiteren Unternehmenswachstums zur Verf\u00fcgung.\r\n\r\nMarkus Lesser, Vorstandsvorsitzender der PNE WIND-Gruppe, kommentiert: \u201eDie Strategie, Windparks nach ihrer Fertigstellung zun\u00e4chst zu b\u00fcndeln, hat sich bew\u00e4hrt. Die Vermarktung gro\u00dfer Portfolios erm\u00f6glicht h\u00f6here Verkaufserl\u00f6se als der Verkauf einzelner Windparks. Wir wollen diesen Erfolg wiederholen und\u00a0 planen bis 2019\/2020 insbesondere auch durch den Aufbau eines europ\u00e4ischen Portfolios von Windparks an Land weitere Stromerzeugungskapazit\u00e4ten zu schaffen.\u201c\r\n\r\nDer Aufbau des neuen Portfolios soll durch selbstentwickelte Windpark-Projekte, den Zukauf von bestehenden Windparks zum sp\u00e4teren Repowering und den verst\u00e4rkten Ankauf von bereits weitgehend entwickelten Projekten erfolgen. PNE WIND plant bei einem zuk\u00fcnftigen Verkauf verst\u00e4rkt an dem Portfolio beteiligt zu bleiben und das Betriebsmanagement zu \u00fcbernehmen. Mit diesem Ansatz sichert sich PNE WIND kontinuierliche und langfristig stabile Einnahmen aus dem Stromverkauf sowie dem Windpark-Management. Schon beim anteiligen Verkauf des Windpark-Portfolios im Dezember 2016 hat sich diese Strategie bew\u00e4hrt.\r\n\r\n<b>Ausblick<\/b>\r\n\r\nAufgrund des ver\u00e4nderten Marktumfeldes und den Investitionen in den weiteren Ausbau der bew\u00e4hrten Portfolio-Strategie sieht der Vorstand 2017 als \u00dcbergangsjahr an, in welchem sich das Konzern-EBIT in einer Bandbreite von 0 bis 15 Mio. Euro bewegen wird. Die PNE WIND AG erwartet f\u00fcr das Gesch\u00e4ftsjahr 2017 auf EBIT-Basis weiterhin ein positives Ergebnis aus dem operativen Bereich in einer Gr\u00f6\u00dfenordnung von 10 bis 20 Mio.
