This means that the preconditions for the orders with a total value of EUR 263.0 million are fulfilled. Payment of the EUR 50 million purchase price for Manz CIGS Technology GmbH as well as the agreed downpayment of EUR 79.0 million for the CIGS orders is expected to be made to Manz AG in May this year.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the approvals that have been issued, Manz CIGS Technology GmbH, the former Manz AG CIGS research company, will become part of NICE PV Research Ltd. which is now starting its research operations as planned. With the signing of the contract at the end of January 2017 Manz AG and its Chinese partners laid the foundations for this unique company to become the world&#8217;s leading research institution in the field of CIGS thin-film technology. NICE PV Research Ltd. will speed up the further development of CIGS technology with immediate effect, which will leverage its potential for further increases in photovoltaic efficiency and reductions in production costs. In addition to the existing innovation line for CIGS thin-film solar modules at Schwaebisch Hall, a further production line with a capacity of 44 MW will therefore be built in Beijing.<\/p>\n<p>The granting of the official approvals has also led to the start of operations at the second newly established company \u2013 Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment Co.,Ltd. The company is exhibiting for the first time at the world&#8217;s most important photovoltaics trade show, the &#8220;SNEC PV Power Expo&#8221; which is currently being held in Shanghai. Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment was founded by Manz AG, Shanghai Electric and the Shenhua Group in order to boost the marketing of CIGS technology in China. From now on the company has exclusive responsibility for the sales activities in China, will provide engineering services for future projects and will support in their early phases. Whereas both of the existing major orders were placed directly with Manz AG, potential follow-up orders from China will be placed with Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment. The company&#8217;s majority shareholder is Manz AG with a 56 % holding. Future earnings and expenditure will accordingly be consolidated in the Manz Group&#8217;s financial statements. EUR f\u00fcr CIGS-Auftr\u00e4ge f\u00fcr Mai erwartet<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Neu gegr\u00fcndete Gesellschaften Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment und NICE PV Research Ltd. nehmen Betrieb auf<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nWie die Manz AG, weltweit agierender Hightech-Maschinenbauer mit umfassendem Technologieportfolio f\u00fcr die drei strategischen Gesch\u00e4ftsbereiche \u201eSolar\u201c, \u201eElectronics\u201c und \u201eEnergy Storage\u201c, heute bekannt gibt, wurden alle beh\u00f6rdlichen Genehmigungen im Zusammenhang mit der strategischen Zusammenarbeit mit Shanghai Electric und der Shenhua Group im Bereich der CIGS-D\u00fcnnschicht-Technologie und den daraus resultierenden Gro\u00dfauftr\u00e4gen erteilt. Damit sind alle Vollzugsbedingungen f\u00fcr die Auftr\u00e4ge mit einem Gesamtvolumen von 263,0 Mio. EUR erf\u00fcllt. Die Zahlung des Kaufpreises f\u00fcr die Manz CIGS Technology GmbH in H\u00f6he von 50 Mio. EUR und die vereinbarte Anzahlung in H\u00f6he von 79,0 Mio. EUR f\u00fcr die CIGS-Auftr\u00e4ge an die Manz AG wird f\u00fcr Mai erwartet.\r\n\r\nInfolge der erteilten Genehmigungen geht die Manz CIGS Technology GmbH als bisherige CIGS-Forschungsgesellschaft der Manz AG auf die NICE PV Research Ltd. \u00fcber, die nun planm\u00e4\u00dfig ihren Forschungsbetrieb aufnimmt. Mit der Vertragsunterzeichnung Ende Januar 2017 hatte die Manz AG mit ihren chinesischen Partnern die Grundlage f\u00fcr diese einzigartige Gesellschaft als weltweit f\u00fchrende Forschungseinrichtung im Bereich der CIGS-D\u00fcnnschicht-Technologie gelegt. Die NICE PV Research Ltd. wird ab sofort die Weiterentwicklung der CIGS-Technologie beschleunigen und dadurch die Potenziale, die diese f\u00fcr weitere Wirkungsgradsteigerungen sowie zur Reduzierung der Herstellungskosten bietet, heben. Hierzu wird neben der bestehenden Innovationslinie f\u00fcr CIGS-D\u00fcnnschicht-Solarmodule in Schw\u00e4bisch Hall eine weitere Forschungslinie mit einer Kapazit\u00e4t von 44 MW in Peking errichtet werden.\r\n\r\nEbenfalls mit der Erteilung der beh\u00f6rdlichen Genehmigungen hat die zweite neu gegr\u00fcndete Gesellschaft Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment Co.,Ltd. den Betrieb aufgenommen. Erstmals aktiv tritt die Gesellschaft im Rahmen der aktuell stattfindenden und weltweit wichtigsten Photovoltaik-Messe \u201eSNEC PV Power Expo\u201c in Shanghai in Erscheinung. Die Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment wurde von der Manz AG, Shanghai Electric und der Shenhua Group gegr\u00fcndet, um die Vermarktung der CIGS-Technologie in China weiter voranzutreiben. Die Gesellschaft verantwortet fortan exklusiv die Vertriebsaktivit\u00e4ten in China, erbringt die Ingenieursleistungen in zuk\u00fcnftigen Projekten und unterst\u00fctzt bei diesen in der Anlaufphase. W\u00e4hrend die beiden bisherigen Gro\u00dfauftr\u00e4ge direkt bei der Manz AG geordert wurden, werden m\u00f6gliche Folgeauftr\u00e4ge aus China bei der Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment platziert. Mehrheitseignerin der Gesellschaft ist die Manz AG mit 56 %. Zuk\u00fcnftige Ertr\u00e4ge und Aufwendungen werden entsprechend im Abschluss der Manz-Gruppe konsolidiert.
