The receipt of the payment gives the green light for implementation of the major orders totaling EUR 263 million which include a 44 MW CIGS R&#038;D line and a 306 MW CIGS turnkey production line (CIGSfab) for series production of CIGS thin-film solar modules. Due to further downpayment agreements for the CIGS R&#038;D line and the CIGSfab throughout the course of the project, these orders will be realized cash flow positive. The orders will contribute to revenue and profits as from this second quarter of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Manz AG had received both major orders at the start of 2017 within its strategic cooperation with its Chinese partners, the Shanghai Electric Group and the Shenhua Group. The aim of the cooperation is to speed up the development of Manz&#8217;s CIGS technology, and to boost the marketing of it also in China. Two joint enterprises were founded for this purpose: while NICE PV Research Ltd. focuses on R&#038;D activities, Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment Co.,Ltd. is now solely responsible for the marketing activities in China, and it will provide the engineering services for future projects as well as providing support in their start-up phases. Both companies already started their operations in April.<\/p>\n<p>Manz AG had already made all the necessary preparations over recent months in anticipation of the agreed downpayment, so the implementation of the orders can now begin straight away. Manz AG&#8217;s sites in Germany, Slovakia and Asia are involved in the work on the orders.<\/p>\n<p>Dieter Manz, the CEO and founder of Manz AG, comments as follows: &#8220;The receipt of the payment gives us the green light for executing the first major projects and for generating the corresponding revenues thanks to our unique cooperation with our Chinese partners. EUR f\u00fcr CIGS-Auftr\u00e4ge erhalten<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Cash-Flow-positive Auftragsrealisierung aufgrund entsprechender Anzahlungsvereinbarungen<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nDie Manz AG, weltweit agierender Hightech-Maschinenbauer mit umfassendem Technologieportfolio in den Gesch\u00e4ftsbereichen \u201eSolar\u201c, \u201eElectronics\u201c und \u201eEnergy Storage\u201c, hat die erste Anzahlung in H\u00f6he von 64,3 Mio. EUR im Zusammenhang mit den CIGS-Gro\u00dfauftr\u00e4gen erhalten. Der Zahlungseingang markiert den Startschuss f\u00fcr die Umsetzung der Gro\u00dfauftr\u00e4ge mit einem Gesamtvolumen von 263 Mio. EUR, die eine 44 MW CIGS-Forschungslinie sowie eine 306 MW CIGS-Turnkey-Anlage (CIGSfab) zur Serienproduktion von CIGS-D\u00fcnnschicht-Solarmodulen umfassen. Durch weitere Anzahlungsvereinbarungen f\u00fcr die CIGS-Forschungslinie sowie die CIGSfab mit fortschreitendem Projektverlauf werden die Auftr\u00e4ge Cash-Flow-positiv realisiert. Umsatz- und ertragswirksam werden diese bereits ab dem laufenden zweiten Quartal 2017.\r\n\r\nDie Manz AG hatte die beiden Gro\u00dfauftr\u00e4ge zu Jahresbeginn 2017 im Zuge der strategischen Zusammenarbeit mit den chinesischen Partnern Shanghai Electric Group und Shenhua Group erhalten. Ziel der Zusammenarbeit ist es, die Weiterentwicklung der Manz CIGS-D\u00fcnnschicht-Technologie zu beschleunigen und deren Vermarktung auch in China voranzutreiben. Hierzu wurden zwei Gemeinschaftsunternehmen gegr\u00fcndet: w\u00e4hrend sich die NICE PV Research Ltd. auf F&amp;E-Aktivit\u00e4ten fokussiert, verantwortet die Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. fortan exklusiv die Vertriebsaktivit\u00e4ten in China, erbringt die Ingenieursleistungen in zuk\u00fcnftigen Projekten und unterst\u00fctzt bei diesen in der Anlaufphase. Beide Unternehmen haben bereits im April ihren Betrieb aufgenommen.\r\n\r\nIn Erwartung der vereinbarten Anzahlung hatte die Manz AG bereits in den vergangenen Monaten alle erforderlichen Vorbereitungen getroffen, sodass nun unmittelbar mit der Umsetzung der Auftr\u00e4ge begonnen wird.
