With effect from October 17, 2017, Dr. Zhiming Xu will take over the position held by Guoxing Yang, who was a Member of the Supervisory Board of Manz AG as representative of the anchor investor and strategic partner Shanghai Electric since 2016.<\/p>\n<p>After successfully completing his mechanical engineering studies and receiving his doctoral degree in mechatronics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Dr. Zhiming Xu began his career in 2003 at Shanghai Electric Group Co. Ltd. Since 2011, he has been the Chief Technology Officer of Shanghai Electric Automation Group and, since 2016, Managing Director of Shanghai Electric Germany Holding GmbH based in Frankfurt (Main). In addition, Dr. Zhiming Xu has been a member of the Board of Supervisors of NICE PV Research Ltd. and of the Board of Directors of Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment Co. Ltd. since 2017. Manz AG had jointly founded both companies as part of its strategic cooperation with Shanghai Electric and Shenhua Group.<br \/>\nThe objective of NICE PV Research Ltd. is to speed up the further development of CIGS solar technology, which will leverage its potential for further increases in photovoltaic efficiency and reductions in manufacturing costs.<br \/>\nSuzhou Manz New Energy Equipment was founded in order to boost the marketing of CIGS technology in China. The company has exclusive responsibility for the sales activities in China, and it provides engineering services for future projects as well as support in their early phases.<\/p>\n<p>The Supervisory Board and Management Board of Manz AG extend their thanks to the previous Supervisory Board member, Mr. Guoxing Yang, and look forward to a successful cooperation with Dr. Zhiming Xu. Dr. Zhiming Xu \u00fcbernimmt mit Wirkung zum 17. Oktober 2017 das Mandat von Guoxing Yang, der als Vertreter des Ankerinvestors und strategischen Partners Shanghai Electric seit 2016 Mitglied des Aufsichtsrats der Manz AG war.\r\n\r\nNach erfolgreichem Maschinenbaustudium und Promotion im Bereich Mechatronik an der Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, begann Dr. Zhiming Xu 2003 seine Karriere bei der Shanghai Electric Group Co. Ltd. Seit 2011 ist er Technikvorstand der Shanghai Electric Automation Group sowie seit 2016 Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der Shanghai Electric Germany Holding GmbH, Frankfurt am Main. Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist Dr. Zhiming Xu seit 2017 Mitglied des Board of Supervisors der NICE PV Research Ltd., und Mitglied des Board of Directors der Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment Co. Ltd. Beide Gesellschaften hatte die Manz AG gemeinschaftlich im Zuge der strategischen Zusammenarbeit mit Shanghai Electric und der Shenhua Group gegr\u00fcndet.\r\nZweck der NICE PV Research Ltd. ist die Weiterentwicklung der CIGS-Solartechnologie zu beschleunigen und dadurch die Potenziale, die diese f\u00fcr weitere Wirkungsgradsteigerungen sowie zur Reduzierung der Herstellungskosten bietet, zu heben.\r\nDie Suzhou Manz New Energy Equipment wurde gegr\u00fcndet, um die Vermarktung der CIGS-Technologie in China weiter voranzutreiben.
