Mr. B\u00f6gershausen has worked for SLM Solutions since 2013 and led the company to its successful IPO in 2014. A further Milestone was the Placement of a Convertible Bond with a total Volume of 58.5 Million Euro in late 2017. \u201cThe Contract Extension is an important Signal of continuity and stability for the company\u00b4s further development\u201d says Hans-Joachim Ihde, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very glad to be part of the further development of SLM Solutions. We have achieved a lot in the past and have an exciting journey ahead of us, which we are well prepared for with the addition of \u00a0Dr. Axel Schulz joining as Management Board Member for Sales Operations\u201d, says Uwe B\u00f6gershausen.<\/p>\n<p>2017 was an eventful year for the Company. After the failed take-over attempt of General Electric at the end of 2016, SLM Solutions\u2019 customers were hesitant to place orders at the beginning of the year 2017. \u00a0\u201cThis uncertainty on our customer side \u00a0disappeared during the second half of the year. Thanks to several long-term framework agreements signed with customers, we were able to book a total order intake of 169 Million Euro, which is an increase of more than 110% compared to 2016 and is expected to translate into revenues within the coming years. Based on preliminary numbers, we expect Sales for the year 2017 in a range of 80 to 85 Million Euros\u201d explains Uwe B\u00f6gershausen. For the year 2018, the Company expects Sales of around 125 Million Euros. This would correspond to a growth rate of 50% from 2017 to 2018 and would bring the company back on track towards total Sales of 500 Million Euros in 2022. \u201cWith the long-term framework agreements, for the first time, we now have a basis of around 40 Million Euros in revenues for the coming year we can plan with\u201d says Uwe B\u00f6gershausen. Henner Sch\u00f6neborn adds: \u201cWe also see a change in customer order behavior: From Single-Machine-Orders to Multi-Machine-Orders including system integration into existing production chains. This will support further strong growth. Besides our success in Sales, we are also making good progress in our development activities: After the successful market introduction of the SLM800 we are working\u00a0 on our new project at full speed, a machine with a build platform of 600 x 600 mm, which we expect to present to the public at the end of 2019. We have already received inbound requests for such a machine from a customer in the automotive sector with whom we have already signed a Cooperation Agreement. Juni 2019 verl\u00e4ngert. Herr B\u00f6gershausen ist bereits seit dem Jahr 2013 f\u00fcr SLM Solutions t\u00e4tig und hat die Gesellschaft in 2014 erfolgreich an die B\u00f6rse gef\u00fchrt. Nach dem gescheiterten \u00dcbernahmeversuch durch General Electric Ende 2016 war SLM Solutions zu Beginn des Jahres 2017 zun\u00e4chst mit Zur\u00fcckhaltung auf Kundenseite konfrontiert. \u201eDiese Kaufzur\u00fcckhaltung und Unsicherheit auf Kundenseite hat sich im Laufe des zweiten Halbjahres aufgel\u00f6st, so dass wir insbesondere durch den Abschluss langfristiger Rahmenvertr\u00e4ge im Auftragseingang im Vergleich zum Vorjahr einen Anstieg um mehr als 110 % auf 169 Millionen Euro verzeichnen konnten, der sich in den kommenden Jahren im Umsatz positiv bemerkbar machen wird. F\u00fcr das Gesch\u00e4ftsjahr 2017 erwarten wir nach vorl\u00e4ufigen Zahlen einen Umsatz im Bereich von 80 \u2013 85 Millionen Euro\u201c so Uwe B\u00f6gershausen. F\u00fcr 2018 rechnet die Gesellschaft mit einem Umsatz in H\u00f6he von rund 125 Millionen Euro. Das w\u00fcrde einem Wachstum in H\u00f6he von ca. 50 % von 2017 auf 2018 entsprechen und die Gesellschaft zur\u00fcck auf den Pfad zur Erreichung eines Umsatzes von 500 Millionen Euro in 2022 f\u00fchren. \u201eDank der langfristig geschlossenen Rahmenvertr\u00e4ge haben wir nun zum ersten Mal eine planbare Basis von bereits rund 40 Millionen Euro Umsatz f\u00fcr das kommende Gesch\u00e4ftsjahr\u201c freut sich Uwe B\u00f6gershausen.
