New order intake (adjusted by Frame Agreements signed in 2017) increased by TEUR 700, compared y-o-y. Current order intake (01 January to 08 August 2018, adjusted by Frame Agreements signed in H1 2017) significantly increased to 48 Units, resp. TEUR 30,373 (H1 2017: 43 Units, TEUR 26,132). Customers already called-off machines from the Frame Agreements totalling to a value of TEUR 12,534, representing 11% of the total value of the Frame Agreements. Further Call-Offs are scheduled for the second half of 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Uwe B\u00f6gershausen, CFO and Speaker of the Management Board of the Company, about H 1 2018: &#8220;After having slightly lost revenues in Q1 2018 compared to Q1 2017, we are now able to show growth thanks to a strong second quarter. We have been able to fully catch up on the decline in revenues. The view on the current order intake is even better: Here, we can show growth in new order intake value of around 16% compared to the previous year. We also worked intensively on the cost structure. As a result, we were able to reduce the personnel expense ratio by around 8% and have significantly improved our EBITDA.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So far, Call-Off\u00b4s were made from the Framework Agreements concluded with Asian customers in 2017, worth a total of around TEUR 12,534 (18 machines), all in line with planning. Value wise this corresponds to almost 11% of the total framework value of around TEUR 110,000. Dr. Axel Schulz, as Member of the Board responsible for Sales: &#8220;Some Call-Off\u00b4s from the frame agreements could be postponed by the customers. Overall, the framework agreement customers have committed themselves to further Call-Offs for 30 machines with a turnover of around TEUR 30,000 this year. More important: We are currently in very positive negotiations with customers from Europe and North America, who are fully committed to SLM Solutions as their exclusive supplier and partner. Although the negotiations are already well advanced, we will probably see them in revenue in 2019 and beyond.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>New order intake<\/strong>\u00a0in H1 2018 came in at 38 ordered machines. This represents a decrease of 19.1 % compared to the previous year (H1 2017: 47 machines). Order intake value with TEUR 23,288 was down by 34% compared to H1 2017 (TEUR 35,309). Adjusted by the Frame Agreement signed in the first half of 2017 (TEUR 12,700 and 10 machines) the new order intake of H1 2018 was TEUR 700 higher compared y-o-y.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current new order intake<\/strong>\u00a0(01 January to 08 August 2018, adjusted by Frame Agreements signed in 2017) increased significantly compared y-o-y, value wise as well as in total number of machines. SLM came to a total order intake value of TEUR 30,373 (Base: 08 August 2018), which represents an increase of 16% compared y-o-y. The number of machines ordered also increased: From 43 Units to 48 Units.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Total operating revenue<\/strong>\u00a0(the sum of consolidated revenue, inventory changes and other own work capitalised) of TEUR 34,662 was up by 17.7 % year on year (previous year: TEUR 29,452), mainly due to an increase of stocks. This is also visible in the\u00a0<strong>Working Capital<\/strong>, which increased by around 35% to TEUR 56,332. On the other side, the Working Capital between Q1 2018 and Q2 w018 decreased from TEUR 58,307 to TEUR 56,332.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>personnel cost ratio<\/strong>\u00a0(in relation to the total operating revenue) decreased from 48.3% in H1 2017 to 40.7% in H1 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong>\u00a0cost of materials ratio<\/strong>\u00a0(as % of total operating revenue) came in at 51%, which was higher compared to the previous year (H1 2017: 43.1%), due to an increase in inventories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EBITDA<\/strong>\u00a0(earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) was recorded at TEUR -3,814 in the reporting period, which was significantly better compared with H1 2017 (TEUR -4,518).<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>consolidated net resul<\/strong>t totalled TEUR -6,267, slightly down compared year over year (H1 2017: TEUR -5,946). This corresponds with basic and diluted\u00a0<strong>earnings per share<\/strong>\u00a0of EUR -0.35 per share (previous year: EUR -0.33, basic and diluted).<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Company\u2019s equity ratio<\/strong>\u00a0was reduced from 74.8% to 49.9%. Der um in 2017 abgeschlossene Rahmenvertr\u00e4ge bereinigte Auftragseingang zum Ende des ersten Halbjahrs lag um rund TEUR 700 \u00fcber dem Auftragseingang im ersten Halbjahr 2017. Der aktuelle Auftragseingang (01. Januar bis 08. August 2018, bereinigt um Rahmenvertr\u00e4ge aus H1 2017) liegt mit TEUR 30.373 bzw. 48 St\u00fcck deutlich \u00fcber dem Wert des Vorjahreszeitraums (TEUR 26.132 bzw. 43 St\u00fcck). Aus den in 2017 geschlossenen Rahmenvertr\u00e4gen wurden insgesamt bereits Abrufe im Wert von TEUR 12.534 get\u00e4tigt, das entspricht rund 11% des Rahmenvertragsvolumens. Weitere Abrufe erfolgen im Laufe des zweiten Halbjahrs 2018.\r\n\r\nUwe B\u00f6gershausen, CFO und Sprecher des Vorstands von SLM, zum ersten Halbjahr 2018: \u201eNachdem wir im Laufe des ersten Quartals 2018 im Vergleich zum ersten Quartal 2017 leicht an Umsatz verloren hatten, k\u00f6nnen wir dank eines starken zweiten Quartals nun Wachstum pr\u00e4sentieren. Wir haben den Umsatzr\u00fcckgang vollst\u00e4ndig aufholen k\u00f6nnen. Der Blick auf den aktuellen Auftragseingang ist noch erfreulicher: Hier sind wir im Auftragseingangswert im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um rund 16% gewachsen. Auch an der Kostenstruktur haben wir intensiv gearbeitet. So konnten wir die Personalaufwandsquote um rund 8% senken und haben uns im EBITDA deutlich verbessert.\u201c\r\n\r\nBislang wurden planm\u00e4\u00dfig Abrufe aus den in 2017 mit asiatischen Kunden geschlossenen Rahmenvertr\u00e4gen im Wert von insgesamt rund TEUR 12.534 get\u00e4tigt (18 Maschinen). Das entspricht im Wert knapp 11% des Rahmenvertragsvolumens von rund TEUR 110.000.  Dr. Axel Schulz, als Vorstand f\u00fcr den Vertrieb verantwortlich: \u201eEinige Abrufe aus den Rahmenvertr\u00e4gen k\u00f6nnten sich kundenseitig verschieben. Insgesamt haben die Rahmenvertragskunden sich zu weiteren Abrufen f\u00fcr 30 Maschinen mit einem Umsatz von rund TEUR 30.000 in diesem Jahr verpflichtet. Viel wichtiger ist: Wir sind derzeit in sehr guten Gespr\u00e4chen mit einigen Kunden aus Europa und Nord-Amerika, die voll auf SLM Solutions als exklusiven Lieferanten und Partner setzen. Obgleich die Gespr\u00e4che schon weit fortgeschritten sind, werden wir diese im Umsatz vermutlich erst in 2019 und den Folgejahren sehen.\u201c\r\n\r\nDie Auftragseing\u00e4nge lagen im ersten Halbjahr 2018 bei 38 bestellten Maschinen und damit um 19,1 % unter Vorjahr (H1 2017: 47 Maschinen). Der Auftragseingangswert lag mit TEUR 23.288 um 34% unter dem Auftragseingangswert im Vorjahreszeitraum (H1 2017: TEUR 35.309). Nach Bereinigung um den im ersten Halbjahr 2017 geschlossenen Rahmenvertrag (TEUR 12.700, 10 Maschinen) lag der Auftragseingang im ersten Halbjahr 2018 im Wert um rund TEUR 700 \u00fcber dem Auftragseingang des Vorjahreszeitraums.\r\n\r\nDie zwischen dem 01. Januar und dem 08. August 2018 gebuchten Auftragseing\u00e4nge (bereinigt um Rahmenvertr\u00e4ge aus 2017) lagen sowohl im Wert als auch in der Anzahl Maschinen deutlich \u00fcber Vorjahr. So kann SLM mit Stand 08. August 2018 einen Auftragseingangswert in H\u00f6he von TEUR 30.373 verbuchen, was einer Steigerung um 16% im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum entspricht. Auch in der Anzahl bestellter Maschinen zeigt SLM Wachstum: Von 43 St\u00fcck auf 48 St\u00fcck.\r\n\r\nDie Gesamtleistung (Summe aus Umsatzerl\u00f6sen, Bestandserh\u00f6hungen und anderen aktivierten Eigenleistungen) lag mit TEUR 34.662 um 17,7 % \u00fcber dem Vorjahreswert (TEUR 29.452), insbesondere begr\u00fcndet durch weiteren Bestandsaufbau. Auch im Anstieg des Working Capital um rund 35% auf TEUR 56.332 wird dies sichtbar. Zwischen Q1 2018 und Q2 2018 ist das Working Capital von TEUR 58.307 auf TEUR 56.332 gesunken.\r\n\r\nDie Personalaufwandsquote (im Verh\u00e4ltnis zur Gesamtleistung) ist von 48,3% im ersten Halbjahr 2017 auf 40,7% im ersten Halbjahr 2018 gesunken.\r\n\r\nDie Materialaufwandsquote (in % der Gesamtleistung) liegt im ersten Halbjahr 2018 aufgrund des weiteren Bestandsaufbaus mit 51% \u00fcber Vorjahresniveau (H1 2017: 43,1%).\r\n\r\nDas EBITDA (Ergebnis vor Abschreibungen, Zinsen und Steuern) lag im Berichtszeitraum bei TEUR -3.814 und damit deutlich besser im Vergleich zum Vorjahr (H1 2017: TEUR -4.518).\r\n\r\nDas Periodenergebnis lag mit TEUR -6.267 leicht unter Vorjahr (H1 2017: TEUR -5.946).
